A supplementary feed that labels every product with the margin bucket it is projected to earn.
Overview
Bidding on profit fixes what you are willing to pay for a click. It does not tell Shopping which products deserve the budget in the first place. A supplementary feed writes a margin bucket label onto one custom label slot, and campaigns can then be built around it — the healthy products pushed, the thin ones capped, without anyone maintaining a list by hand.
How it works
Merchant Center fetches one URL on a schedule. It carries two columns: the product id and a bucket name. Nothing else — no margins, no percentages, no confidence scores. Per-SKU margin is the most sensitive data we hold, so the numbers stay in the app. Every SKU is relabelled every day, and a product without a projection gets an explicit default label rather than keeping a stale one forever.
How to configure
Pick a custom label slot that nothing else is using. A supplementary feed overwrites its declared slot on every product it matches, so check this first.
In Merchant Center, go to Feeds → Supplementary feed → Scheduled fetch. (If this option isn't visible you need to activate
Paste the feed URL from your Profitscaler settings and set it to fetch daily.
Segment your Shopping or Performance Max campaigns on that label.
